Mushroom House, Cincinnati, Ohio

This house was built by the late Terry Brown, professor of architecture and interior design at the University of Cincinnati. The name comes from the enhancements to the walls and roof overhang that resembles the underside of a mushroom. The house was originally a run-of-the-mill bungalow. The additions and enhancements are made with wood, colored glass, seashells, and other such materials.
